The MVP Award is an award that recognizes a staff members significant contributions to one's RAs staff and community, as seen through a peer-to-peer eyes. The MVP award is an award voted on by fellow staff members. Each staff will have one MVP.
The recipient of this award will receive a certificate.

The Department of Housing & Residential Life recognizes the immense work it takes to be hired mid-year. We are seeking submissions of all mid-year/off-cycle hires for a section of recognition during our banquet. Please submit a photo of your mid-year hires below.
The Department of Housing & Residential Life proudly celebrates the graduating senior Resident Assistants who have exemplified leadership, dedication, and a commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive, and vibrant living communities. Their hard work and positive impact on residents have enriched the campus experience for all. Please submit all of your graduating seniors for recognition during the banquet.
Launched in 2023-2024, we created a Staff Yearbook where each staff has the opportunity to design a 2-page spread of pictures of their staff and engagements from out the year! Each staff member will get a printed copy of the Yearbook at the banquet. Deadlines to submit your staff PDF is on March 4, 2025.
Requirements for PDF:
Letter Size (8.5.x11)
2 Page Spread (just like a book, page 1 will be on the left followed by page 2 on the right)
A minimum 0.25 inch margin around entire page for printing purposes
Minimum Content: photo of each staff member with names, building name, supervisors.

The New Resident Assistant of the Year Award is awarded to a Resident Assistant who exemplifies the department’s mission, vision, and values, as demonstrated through their commitment to their role as a Resident Assistant. The New Resident Assistant of the Year Award is given to a Resident Assistant in their first year of employment who demonstrated excellent leadership skills, dedication within the Resident Assistant Position, who quickly integrated into the role of being a Resident Assistant and went above and beyond to serve their residents and fellow staff members.
This award will be awarded to 4 New Resident Assistants, one per District. You only may submit 1 submission per staff member you wish to nominate. Duplicate submissions will not be accepted.
Nominees will receive a certificate, and the 4 recipients of this award will each receive a personalized engraved plaque.

The Returner Resident Assistant of the Year Award is awarded to a Resident Assistant who exemplifies the department’s mission, vision, and values, as demonstrated through their commitment to their role as a Resident Assistant. The Returner Resident Assistant of the Year Award is given to a Resident Assistant who has completed more than one full year of service, who demonstrated excellent leadership skills, and dedication within the Resident Assistant position, who went above and beyond to serve their residents and community and showed significant growth as a returning staff member.
This award will be awarded to 4 Returning Resident Assistants, one per District. You only may submit 1 submission per staff member you wish to nominate. Duplicate submissions will not be accepted.

The Community Developer of the Year is awarded a Resident Assistant who exceeds expectations in creating a healthy community. This Resident Assistant strives to promote an inclusive environment that is socially engaging and conducive to academic excellence. This Resident Assistant has made significant effort to connect with each of their residents and fellow staff members on a personal level to help them make new connections on campus and within the community.
This award will be awarded to 4 Returning Resident Assistants, one per District. You only may submit 1 submission per staff member you wish to nominate. Duplicate submissions will not be accepted.

The Hall of Fame Award is awarded to those who continually demonstrate exceptional leadership, initiative, responsibility, and who have made significant contributions to the residential experience. The Hall of Fame Award recognizes the totality of a Resident Assistants experience while employed by the Department of Housing & Residential Life.
